Philip H. Martin, DDS
Meet Dr. Philip Martin
Shawnee in the 1960’s and 70’s was a great place to grow up. I had 3 older brothers, a sister, and many, many neighborhood kids and friends to play with. My first memories of dentistry was back in the 1964-65 school year. I went to morning kindergarten and at noon, when it was over for the day, I would walk by myself to my Dad’s dental office to spend my afternoons.
I went to Hocker Grove and SMNW High School. Then I graduated from Baker University and UMKC School of Dentistry in 1986. Since then, I have taken massive amounts of continuing education in dentistry. As have all the dentists in our office. This has kept me and all the dentists here current and up to date on dental trends and technology. Our education never stops!
Practicing dentistry today is quite different than when I graduated school. Changes in technology, materials, and techniques has been huge and has made for a better and better patient experience. However, some things never go out of style at our office. Things like being honest, competent, friendly, and caring. We hold firm to the quote, “People don’t care how much you know, ’till they know how much you care!”
