Martin Family Dentistry researches and invests in advanced dental technology to provide patients with the highest level of care. Dental tech ensures every procedure is safe, accurate, and successful.

Same Day Dentistry with CEREC

Computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology is revolutionizing dentistry. Remember when it used to take two separate appointments to get a dental crown? Even just a few years ago, patients had to endure mouthfuls of messy impression materials and wearing temporary crowns for weeks. Now, with our CEREC system, our patients can walk out of our office with a permanent crown with just one appointment. While some cases still require the traditional impression materials and two appointments, CEREC is limiting the amount of these cases and revolutionizing dentistry!

Benefits of Computer-aided restorations for our patients:

  • Safe and simple procedure
  • One appointment
  • Advanced 3D imaging technology provides absolute precision.
  • No need for temporary restorations
  • No unpleasant or messy impressions

Milling Unit

Our in-house milling unit receives information through our CEREC software and uses it to craft incredibly detailed, natural-looking crowns, restorations, and fillings. It typically takes less than an hour for our milling machine to carve a crown out of a block of ceramic chosen to match the look of your natural teeth perfectly.

The elimination of impressions, temporaries, and second appointments enhances the entire dental experience for our patients. As a bonus, many of our patients love watching their new teeth come to life in the milling unit right in front of their eyes! The final result is a natural-looking restoration of superior strength that matches the surrounding teeth, making your crown, veneer, or filling virtually undetectable.

Intraoral Scanner

The intraoral scanner is used to scan the mouth’s interior to capture highly detailed photographic images combined into a 3D model. Using an Intraoral Scanner, Drs. Steve, Alan, Philip, and Jeffrey can replace conventional impression methods with a clean, fast digital scan obtained in just a few minutes through a series of photographic images taken in the mouth.

The images are combined using our advanced CEREC software, creating 3D images. We use these images to design a custom, permanent restoration. We also use our intraoral scanner to design and craft customized clear aligners to straighten misaligned teeth.

Cone Beam Scanner

Cone Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) systems are the next generation of CT scans. The CBCT scanner rotates around the head, using cone-shaped X-rays to capture detailed images of the oral cavity’s teeth and bone structure. The data is then used to create anatomically accurate, highly detailed 3D models of the mouth, teeth, jaws, ear, nose, and throat. CBCT scanners use significantly less radiation, enabling us to obtain sharp images while reducing your exposure to X-ray radiation.

We are proud of our dedication to providing our patients with safe, effective, innovative dental care using recent developments in dental tech. These tools allow us to offer our patients a comfortable experience and outstanding results.
